Excellent stable, frame not found in any other printer. High-quality assembly. The possibility of tightening the timing belt without any additional solutions. I received the model in a new, better design and V8 Chitu motherboard. In minus - a slightly inaccurate touch display, poor firmware.

I give the printer 5 stars (it is strong and does what it has to do) and especially its filament that is of very good quality, I had several problems at the beginning, but I came to the conclusion that it was the filament that I bought that did not was from this brand tronxy, when I returned to the tronxy filament my impressions were good again, the technical support and customer service is very basic, I understand if it is a new company but they have to improve or they will not have satisfied customers

The best 3D printer ever

I did some research on this machine and another very similar machine made by a different company. I will be honest, they both had pretty bad reviews. I really like the size and look of the D01 and the one thing that was mentioned in every review was how solid the structure of the D01 is. I bought the Tronxy D01 fully expecting that I was going to need to upgrade a lot of components to make it serviceable. I assembled the printer in less than 30 minutes and figured I would test it before I ordered any of the upgrade parts I had on my list. The only thing I did that was not part of the normal assembly was rebuild the hot end. (I do this on every new printer I buy) There are some good videos on YouTube. The main thing I look for is the way the insulator tube is cut, most of the time they are not straight and don't seal well to the tip. I fired up the D01 and printed the standard Benchy, Cube, etc. I was surprised at how well they came out! I wasn't expecting much, but the D01 handled everything like a champ. I decided to give it a real challenge and loaded up a dragon that even the best printers struggle with, I'm not going to say it was perfect, but it sure wasn't bad considering I haven't had any time to fine tune the settings. I couldn't be happier! I honestly see no need to upgrade the D01. As soon as they go on sale again, I'll be picking up a couple more for my shop!

The printer comes mostly with most of the complicated parts already assembled so putting it together in around 30 minutes to one hour is entirely possible. Unfortunately my review will only be of the frame as I did lots of upgrades out of the box. The frame uses 3030 extrusions and a removable glass top for the bed. All the connectors are already labeled and are just plug in. It uses linear rails instead of linear rods or wheels. The frame is very rigid due to the fact that it uses 3030 extrusions. The rails slide easy and the bed slides easily on the included rod. The only issue was that the counter-sunk holes on one of the Z plate bearings were drilled incorrectly. This made the screws sit too far out which made them too short. I had to take a 5/16 drill bit and open the holes a bit to make them sink in to the correct location which allowed them to function correctly afterwards. The Chutu motherboard, lcd, power supply and extruder were changed to SKR 1.3, tft35, hp server power supplies and separate 5v supply and e3d Hemera were all added.

I am very pleased with this printer, after Maker's muse reviewing it on youtube, Tronxy take a quick response to fit the thermal runaway problem, I really appreciate it.The printer just taken me 20 minutes to assemble, after everthing is ready, I started print my first prints, to my surprise, D01 has a LED light on the printer head, wow, the prints looks amazing with shiny. That is incidental pleasures.

I have a stock cr10s. Turn off retraction. Turn temp up to 235 and print super slow. If you've got upgrades, than I bet it will be easy to print with. It's a quality material and a bright yellow. Good value. I would buy again.

The color and feel of the yellow TPU is fantastic. Take your time and dial in your settings though. On my XY-2 it took a while to get my settings to print this with good quality and reliability but that's just how flexible filaments are especially with a Bowden setup. I had to print just above the recommended temperature and due to the nature of the flexible filaments i also needed to up my extrusion multiplayer a bit.

This stuff is great. This is my first time using TPU and I've heard a lot of horror stories but I had no issues here. Just remember to slow your speeds down. Will definitely purchase again and recommend anyone to try it.

I am not new to 3d printing, but i am new to TPU. i have had a Monoprice Select Mini 3d printer for about 2 years and recently added a Tronxy X5SA-400 printer. Despite all my printing i had never tackled TPU. i have been told that it is next to impossible to print TPU on a bowden type printer, which my first printer was. after i installed my new printer i thought i would try my hand at it. i loved my new Tronxy printer so i decided to give their filament a try. the price was right, and i wanted to print several cosplay items for my daughter.

the filament ships quickly from amazon, and comes in the standard sealed filament pouch. i opened it up and checked it out. TPU is different than anything i have used before. the filament feels more like a rubber band then a piece of plastic. my printer has a titan geared extruder with a 630mm bowden tube and i thought loading it in to the titan was going to be a nightmare, but it was surprisingly easy, easier then i find most PLA's. i figure it is because it is flexible that it goes where the extruder wants instead of where it wants. i loaded the filament and extruded a bit. at my nozzle temp of 230 it came right out no issue. unfortunately with a little retraction, it kept oozing out. as discovered, this is the nature of TPU. retraction is almost useless, and does more harm then good most of the time.

after some reading about printing flexible filaments, i found they needed to be printed slowly. <30mm/s. cooling can help with stringing and oozing, but wont fix it. turn retraction off, make speedy travel moves. i sliced my file up accordingly and set it to print. my favorite surface to print on is Kapton tape and i have coated my bed with it. i give it a light spray of aquanet hair spray, but i find that filaments just stick to it. it was no different with this TPU. it had excellent bed adhesion. as it printed i did find a lot of stringing. speedy travel moves helped a bit, but there was a lot of post processing needed. the processing was simple, i used some wire snips to clip the strings. but in the end i was very happy with my results.

on subsequent prints i found that temperature control is very important. the tronxy tpu seemed to print just fine in the 205 degree range, with plenty of layer adhesion. tho it is important that you have a heated bed. one of my sliced files allowed my bed to drop to 35 degrees and the print pealed right off. i suggest you print a temperature tower or other files that help you tune filament settings as it will help you find a sweet spot .

all in all the filament gets an A rating from me. i will definitely be getting more flexibles in the future , and the tronxy TPU seems very high quality. just follow some simple techniques and your prints will be just as good.
