Had high hopes when this printer arrived, but it had a few issues. The bed plate was a few millimeters too low. I replaced the springs with the manufacturer recommended replacement which also failed to work. I ended up purchasing 25mm springs and that fixed everything.Printing quality is pretty good for standard PLA. There have been a few failures with adhesion every so often which makes it difficult to determine the cause. The dual filament feature is nice and works without much issue. One downside is the size of the bed. Since its an usual size, its hard to find many choices for a metal plate or 3rd party suppliers.

This is a good, but not great, printer.First, the positives:* It has a larger than average build surface of 255x255x 245mm.* It comes with a Titan dual-gear extruder (although it’s made of plastic). It worked very well with TPU on my test print.* It also has a form of rudimentary bed leveling system, although it’s not a true ABL. More of a bed leveling measurement system.* It is VERY easy to assemble, with only one ribbon cable, and one wire connector to hook up, and 4 bolts to insert and tighten. Took me maybe 10 minutes.* The control panel is a color touchscreen.* If you use the Tronxy-provided slicer, you get an image of your print on the screen.* The is a filament runout sensor. The negatives:* The Tronxy UI is confusing, at best, and the included manual did little to help out.* The SD card slot is in the back. Why would they do this?* The adjustment wheels for bed leveling are tiny.* Spring clips to hold the build surface to the heated bed are multi-colored. Just looks childish.* The bed springs are weak.* It seems the inlet to the extruder has an adaptor to allow for 2.85mm or 1.75mm filament, but whatever this black plastic cone is, it kept coming out whenever I changed filament. DON'T LOSE THIS!* They provided a flexible build plate and a greenish fiberglass plate, but didn’t say what to do with either of these. Turns out the fiberglas goes between the heated bed and the build surface, but I only learned this on the Tronxy FaceBook group.* There is no obvious way to adjust eSteps, zSteps, xSteps or ySteps. I believe you can if you flash Marlin into the machine. The filament roll holder is just a flat piece or metal. Not exactly smooth.Thoughts:The white elephant test print came out surprisingly well. I also printed out a blue TPU device to allow me to re-spool filament using a cordless drill, and I have to say, this is the best out-of-the-box TPU print I’ve ever done. I used the generic TPU (95A) material in Cura.I haven’t tried the Tronxy slicer, as I’m a long-time Cura user. Cura had a profile already available, and it worked well. This is a simple and elegant design, and for the money, it's a very good deal. I’m probably going to move to Marlin fairly quickly. I guess if I had never seen another printer I would learn the Tronxy UI, and it would be ok, but it seems too many things I need to do quickly aren’t obvious, and I need to get beyond learning the XY-2 and start using it ASAP.For the price, this is a good unit, and I recommend it. See the video and photo’s.

this is the perfect 3d printer for a first time user or someone that has been 3d printing for a long time. this is not the most quiet of 3d printers so i would suggest creating an enclosure for it to keep the noise down and regulate ambient temperature. the prints that i have made so far have been great as far as print quality. i tend to run a bit slower and a little on the thin side as far as layers. for most prints i will run 35mm per sec. and .15mm layers with 40% infill. running that on this machine produced a very nice product. i have not ran any miniatures on this yet and i am going to guess they will be difficult to fine tune.absolutely love this machine and it may be sitting in the first printer place in my production room.

I have some mixed feelings about this product. There are things I very much like....And things I wish didn't get chosen due to limitations. So bottom line it works... from setting the box on the table to working product... 15min.... I took my time and made sure it was squared up. 45 min later I have nice prints coming out in abs...2 hrs later it very well calibrated. The extruder is a very good well known design, excellent choice. The hot end is run of the mill...works well. The table is tronxy sized...poor choice of sizes as it has little if any aftermarket support as its odd sized. It does print well nice clean prints. What I like less...Micro sd slot in the BACK.The odd sized bed come with flexible fancy plastic build surface...I had a spare glass surface from a different printer... the z zero stop appears to be capacitive or magnetic in nature this resulted in continuous crashes only averted by my quick placement of a metal spatula close or below it causing it to sense a stop.It couldn't sense the glass. Too bad because glass is my preferred surface and it lasts longer. This sensor will need to be replaced...period at least for me.I may have missed it... but active z adjustment doesn't seem to be selectable when printing...and I found z axis drift between prints . This lead to me making mechanical adjustments on the fly at the beginning. It also lead to that odd sized textured print surface having scars already.Once a print started well... it moved along and very successfully completes the print. So it works... I would rather have a z stop switch and manually level than use the provided auto level. But it does make nice prints out of the box using cura and tronxy specific settings.

Ok, first off I have 5 Tronxy printers, I picked up 4 of these TRONXY XY-2 PRO with Titan Extruder in December of 2020 with their Christmas sale for $169. I have to say I am pretty impressed at that price point. Setup was easy to do, and I had a powered on printer in 15 minutes. After a manual leveling, the auto leveling worked pretty well. But I had some issues.Pros-Great price, quick to put together, great auto bed leveling, filament run out sensor, and all metal hot end.-The power loss feature actually works !!!-Auto leveling. Once you get a good manual leveling, the auto leveling does a great job. Despite by bed issues, I manged to get some great prints on it.-Pretty quite. I have multiple printers and multiple models, it is the quietest printer I have in its Factory state.Cons-The SD card in the the back. Why? I have no idea, the power switch is there too, but not a big issue. I ended up printing a SD card mount and using an extender for the SD card.-The print bed is ok, it comes in two pieces that you have to assemble yourself. I get some pretty decent PLA prints on it, but PETG managed to damage the first one pretty badly. After that I put on a few coats of hair spray to prevent this on the other printers. It mostly worked, but the bed on printer 2 took some damage. The bed is stiff but flexible to pop off the prints, but sometimes has issues returning to completely flat. Even with the mismatched clips (3 pink and 1 yellow on one printer, 3 yellow and 1 pink on another?? At least I had one complete set). The print bed is where I take off 1 star, since I had issues with 3 out of 4 of them.-One of my touch screens was very baddy calibrated, it took a bit, but I was able to get it calibrated.

The price range of this printer is great for getting into 3d printing without breaking the bank. The print quality out of the box is good but you will have to play with the slicer program to do some fine tuning with your print plastic they all don't print the same. I have had fun learning with it and the auto bed levling is a nice feature to have

I had this up and running within an hr. super simple. The print quality is pretty decent. As this is my first 3D printer, I am only able to judge so much. So far I am loving it. The only drawback I do not like about it was the poor placement of the SD card reader. Its in the back. so if your computer don't recognize the printer( my main computer is) then you are printing via loading files to your SD card. they tell me its because it was soldered to the motherboard when I contacted support. I think they need to put an external reader connected to the Touchscreen or integrate it into the touch screen. other than that i have no issues and use it almost daily.

Great machine for beginners. You can bolt it together level the bed and print. With some mods I am getting fantastic results with the xy2pro. Am even able to print flexible filament .
I always just ditch abl and add a z limit switch and glass bed to my printers but the abl feature did seam to work the 1 time I let it run. This type of sensor does not work reliably with a glass bed.

The machine showed signs of being tested at the factory( filament in hotend) which is very rare for a Chinese company.
The stock hotend cooler is less than optimal as it blows on the hotend also but just about any can duct for an ender 3 or x5s on thingiverse will work. Also print yourself some bigger knobs for the bed level screws and save the hasstle of the stock ones. The left rear is especially difficult to reach.

The chassis is all 20/40 and 40/40 extrusion and is very rigid. The rubber feet are quite stout too.

A very competent printer for the price point for sure with a few mods and very little money can be a great printer

There are also a few Facebook groups with fantastic members that can help out with any questions that may arrise
