Awesome printer, although many of the components need to be assembled by myself, but with the installed video, my son and I assembled the video step by step, and our heart is full of accomplishments. After assembling, I tried to first printing and I printed a little dog with TPU filament. Very soft and my son love it.

I’ve had some amazing prints! My first printer was damaged badly and I had to replace is so I decided to spend the extra $20 for this one and man am I happy I did! It’s made of aluminum and since there aren’t any rods, I don’t have to worry about them warping. No bearings to wear out from the bushings which is what caused my original one to get damaged. The filament sensor has saved me a few times! This alone is worth the extra cost I spent! I loved it so much I bought a second one!

This printer works great. It works. As good or better. Then. The more expensive printer we used ... for the price you can’t beat it

My husband had this put together in a couple of days with help from the internet only. There were some issues but he got them all worked out and starting printing. It does beautiful work. And works great on the SD card only. He is very happy with this purchase.

I've been working on/with 3d printers for the past 6 years. I personally like the Prusa setup because everything is easy to access. I was a bit skeptical because of how cheap the printer was but I took as shot and purchased it. upon opening the package, everything was neatly packed and nothing was banged up. I did have to loosten the rollers because of some drag I noticed, second issue I had was with the extruder motor. I cleaned out the nozzle, turned up the motor current before contacting Tronxy about the issue. After my failed attempts I had sent them a video of what was going on- there was a few back and forth conversations to figure out what was going on. I was very impressed at the measures that was taken to solve the problem. As far as print quality- it's not bad at all for hobbiest parts- its not the best prints i've ever seen but for the price you cant go wrong! if you're somewhat mechanically inclined and fresh to 3d printing I think you could handle working this printer.

Great priced printer loaded with great features. Bed had a bow to it in the center but the first full preheat 100% fixed that. Don't bother with the bed adhesion sheet that comes with it do yourself a favor and spend $15 on a megnetic bed adhesion system. At one point the whole bed thought it was shifted 2 inches right and an inch back. To fix this just download the file for the xy-2 from the Tonxy site and run that gcode. This reset it.

Ok people, here's my review. I start with the bad but please also read the good.

    The Bad:

Ok. Its been a week since I received this printer. First observation during the assembly wasn't that great for the QC department. Packaging on mine was good but they put the logo on my touch screen totally upside down. I have emailed them but have not heard anything back as of yet. Also I noticed that the Home micro switch for the X-Y plane was mounted in a Its almost my lunch time fashion and should have included some stand off spacers. It is in there at an angle because the switch protrudes from the circuit board. Because of this, Home is a little to the left of the platter than it should be. Not a biggie. Other than that and the logo upside down, I have not had any issues with the mechanics.

The software on the other hand is another situation. Software is included on the SD but I wouldn't waste your time installing it unless you already know how to use it. Its in depth and not that user friendly for beginners. Again, not their fault as they didn't make it. Also, you will not find this printer in any 3d software settings as a preset. Or at least I haven't as of yet. Correct me if someone has please but honestly really expected this due to the price. Because of this you will need to setup a generic printer device and put in as much information as you can. This brings me to another issue.
Other than the specs they give you on Amazon, no other in depth specifications are given in the box. A lot of which you really need to setup this printer in software. Personally I used the closed eyes, dart on the wall, method and it has worked out ok so far. I have found that checking the heat temp settings for the extruder and bed as well as the bed size will get you by. Or has me anyway. I think the Gcode these printers use is pretty generic. Their are a lot of other settings for 3D printers in the slicing software that will effect your print but it applies really to all of them so learn as fast as you can.

The wiring is a mess. Mismatched lengths cause hard to do wire management. As far as knowing what goes where, that is pretty straight forward, just don't expect it to look pretty unless you want to spend some time at it.

    The Good:

Now to stop knocking it and talk about the good things. It prints. Just as well as a lot of the printers I've watched on YouTube. I've had several good prints and the normal bad ones. To fix the Software issue and get success, I use IceSL now and for my design I use FreeCad. Both are freeware. Hope I didn't just Jinx it. Again, if you get this printer, visit YouTube and search channels that are for 3D printing. You will find that not all of the issues are specific to this device. A lot of the issues you will experience happen to most “personal use” printers. Also, 3D printers in general are not really plug and play and do take some time to get used to.
I could sit here and nitpick everything about this printer but I'm not going to. It is my first printer and so far am happy with its results and because its my first, do not have enough knowledge in the craft as a whole to down it much. Their QC could use some work on the small components and small details. Even though may not effect performance, it can effect the overall vibe of the product.

    Overall:

I think, so far, its a decent printer for what I've poured into it. Sure, I could have can spent more $$$, but this one does work for what I wanted and does work well once you get it dialed in. If I find I outgrow it, I’ll just invest in better model.

Oh and ya, I'll be editing this review if it craps out on me anytime soon. Longevity is also key to a good product.

Overall really happy with this printer and especially happy for the price point. When I 1st set it up the z axis end stop wasnt working, after a few minutes of diagnosing I found that the pin was loose in the main harness clip. Popped it back in and have been printing perfectly since.

I did decide to upgrade the spool real as the original either got in the way of my z screw nob or if it was mounted on top it was too sharp of an angle to go into the run put sensor. Also I immediately went to glass so I cannot speak on the included pei sheet.

This is the first #D printer I have ever owned and it's amazing so far. Set up was a little rough, the video was not great, but once I had everything put together, I was printing that night. Settings can be a little hard to figure out to get great prints but there are tons of websites with helpful suggestions. I highly recommend this printer.

This 3d Printer was EXTREMELY easy to put together, just 4 parts. I did order the one with the non auto-bed leveling, which to be honest I should have, being a beginner at this. So I would say if you are a 1st timer spend the extra $20 or so and get the auto bed leveling, it will help with headaches. But once I got it leveled and figured out I was able to do my first print which was the Pickle Rick. It did have some layer issues and all but that was due to my fault of setting up the profile right. Once I got the profile down, I printed out the butterfly for my wife and it looks great! So yes, for the price it is A MUST HAVE! And VERY EASY to use. You will be come a very addicted to once you start.

to start off I'm not an expert and this is my first 3d printer. It only took about 30 min to get assembled (watch the video on the flash drive that comes with it). I down loaded the software that was included and it seems to be ok so far. (i did have to install it twice bc I didn't follow directions). the how to connect to computer Power Point that was on the the flash drive is of an older version but if you take your time you can figure it out. i decided to print a test model with the filament provided. and after a little trial and error i got it printing. so far I'm impressed. the model i printed was just a simple one to see how everything works. and the quality of the print is better than some of the stuff ive bought that was 3d printed. i defiantly recommend this printer as an inexpensive way to get started.

I bought this as my first 3d printer, skeptical about the price and brand but upon opening all of my fears vanished, with solid construction and great packaging, I knew Tronxy wasn't messing around. I have had ups and downs setting up this printer, my first prints were failed because of premature z-axis motion, but I found a way around it. When printing, you want to(1) preheat the bed and extruder to 60C and 200C, after that you want to(2) manually adjust the bed and press home, afterward (3)use the controls to move the nozzle to the center of the bed (4) pre extrude some filament to prevent clogging during prints(5) select file to print.

I need to let you know that I'm a newbie at this but I've done months of review on this printer. When I first got the printer I thought that the align was wrong but it was me. It only took about 30 mins to assemble. But for the wiring, if your new like me, you'll have to watch the video on where the wiring goes. You also have to switch the switch, which is on the back of the power supply, to 110 volts. But it does have 220. But once it was together, an bed was levelled, an I preheated, I was up an printing. You'll also haft to print at 60 to obtain a good quality print but this is stated in the guidelines with the printer. Once I switched the speed, which I did in the beginning, I was alright. The only bad thing I see so far is that it is a pain in the a## to get off the bed. Also, check your x an y belts to make sure that are properly moving. But overall, for the price an the quality an look of the printer, I'm very satisfied. It also comes preloaded with gcodes to instantly get you printing. An the touchscreen is very responsive. Sometimes you do have to press twice, but for the most part it does respond. An the heating process is very fast. For me to reach 200 on the bed, it only took about a min or two. This also includes the nozzle heat. The fan is low, but when you start to print it is noticeable but not to where it's beyond loud. It's still fairly quiet when printing. If you are a newbie like me an want a starter printer, you should definitely get this. An for the price, why wouldn't you.

It's a good start things I would change thermal runaway needs to be turned on but it's not hard at all to do it yourself bed leveling knobs should be bigger and easier to get to but besides that I think it's a rather decent machine

I love this printer, after using it for a few days, it’s amazing. Assembly took under a hour, then getting setup was even easier. Came without a SD Card which was awesome, and I’m sure it’ll be even better when I use Octoprint. This spider webs a little bit, but I’m sure that’s on my end, overall amazing product, works amazing, and well worth the money
